description Mueller Park Group Picnic Area is located just 5 miles from Bountiful, Utah, at an elevation of 5,400 feet. Visitors enjoy relaxing in the shade along Mill Creek and exploring local trails.
drivingDirection From I-15, take the Woods Cross exit. Go a half-mile east on 2600 South, 0.9 miles north on Orchard Drive, a mile east on 1800 South, then 2 miles to the park entrance. The group picnic area is 100 yards east of the locked gate at the east end of park.
facilitiesDescription This group area contains 18 day-use picnic sites, accommodating groups as small as 16 people and as large as 100. All sites have tables, campfire rings and grills. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads, parking spurs and walking paths within the site are paved. A volleyball court and children's playground are on-site.

importantInformation Group sites are reserved in three time blocks: Morning 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (MORN), Afternoon 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. (AFT) and Evening 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. (EVE). Reserving adjoining time periods provides continuous stay. This is a day-use area only; no overnight camping Gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. No amplified music is allowed in USDA Forest Service campgrounds and facilities. People come to the campgrounds for peace and quiet. orientationDescription Shady maple, aspen, cottonwood, willow, pine and fir trees surround this beautiful site, offering a cool retreat from the city below. Mill Creek tumbles through the site. Summer wildflowers are plentiful and autumn leaves put on quite a show.
recreationDescription Mueller Canyon offers excellent trail opportunities. Hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking and horseback riding are allowed here. Mueller Park Trail is 13 miles long, gradually climbing into the Wasatch foothills through dense forests before passing Elephant Rock and ending at Rudy's Flat. Kenney Creek Trail is nearby and can be used to access the Great Western Trail. North Park Trail connects with Grandview Peak Trail and Cottonwood Gulch.
